San Jose, Calif., January 9, 2005 – Log Management and Intelligence continued to gain critical ground – and praise – in enterprises and government today with LogLogic’s solutions being recognized for excellence by major researchers and publications. LogLogic, the market leader in log management and intelligence, secured two finalist nominations – one for “Best Computer Forensics” and the other for “Best Security Audit” - in the SC Magazine Awards for 2006 (more than 1300 products and services were considered by a panel of network security industry experts). This is the second year in a row that LogLogic has been named as a finalist by SC Magazine.

“Users are voting for, and experts are proving, our industry leading position in log data capture, alerting, search and storage,” said Christopher Brennan, president and CEO, LogLogic. “While our ability to capture log data at up to 50,000 messages per second remains a benchmark for the industry, the ‘Google-like’ speed at which we are able to present business critical security and compliance insight is what really resonates with users. By delivering insight in real time, risk can be mitigated before it becomes business impacting.”

Additionally, the SANS Institute, a vendor neutral thought leader in information security, just completed testing of the LogLogic series 3, LX 2000. Through its evaluation, they found that the LogLogic LX 2000 was able to consistently and accurately collect log data at 150 percent of its rated capacity – at message rates exceeding 4,500 messages per second – without losing data. Tools evaluated by the SANS Product Testing Program are selected by SANS Instructors and its Industry Analysis Advisory Board and testing is conducted at SANS approved facilities. LogLogic’s log management solution allows companies to improve security and compliance alerting, monitoring and analysis across all IT infrastructure – from network devices through applications and servers – and enables them to mitigate security incidents, such as information leakage and theft. Companies can perform “Google-like” searches on log data for near-instant retrieval of critical information buried in terabytes of data. Up to 13,000 unique reports can be generated using 24 templates. This critical log data and reporting can be used to address a broad range of regulations and best practice standards, including COBIT, Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA and BASEL II.

LogLogic has the industry’s only high-performance products focused on simplifying and improving log data management. LogLogic’s ST appliances were named “Best of Interop” at Interop 2005 in Las Vegas. According to The Forrester Wave™: Security Information Management report issued in October 2005, “LogLogic LX offers robust appliance-based technology that collects and analyzes security and system log event data for unusual activity and policy breaches. Forrester believes that log management will be a big driver and LogLogic is well positioned for this.”
