Global Retailer, The Body Shop, Selects LogLogic for Global PCI DSS Compliance and Log Management Requirements
LONDON, UK – 10th November 2008 – LogLogic®, the log management leader, today announced that global retailer, The Body Shop, has selected its PCI log management and intelligence solution for global PCI DSS compliance support.
To meet industry regulation targets (set by VISA and MasterCard) for securing customer payment card information and to improve security best practices, The Body Shop will use the LogLogic solution to gain visibility of security events within the infrastructure environment where it handles, processes and stores credit card holder information. Through out of the box standard PCI log management reports and fully customised customer specific reports, LogLogic will enable The Body Shop to verify processes automatically and protect the integrity of log data for purposes of attestation and litigation. In addition the reports provide a significant reduction in risk by delivering real-time, automated alerting on policies and controls.
“Meeting the PCI DSS mandate and its deadlines for compliance is very important to us as a retailer,” said Jon Granville, Director of Global E-Commerce and IT, The Body Shop International PLC. He continued: “Customer credit card information security is critical to maintaining confidence in our brand.”
Commenting on the selection of LogLogic, Granville commented: “After reviewing the market for suitable and compliant solutions, we drew up a shortlist of potential providers. We then went into a detailed review process and looked at a number of factors – including ease of installation and configuration, standards of reporting, scalability, usability and vendor commitment and ongoing support.”
Right from outset, LogLogic bought into our requirements and understood the key business drivers. They were extremely responsive to our time pressures and were in fact the only vendor who would give us a guarantee that they would deploy the solution into our environment by the deadline – that was very important to us. As a company LogLogic’s responsiveness and attitude were impressive and gave them the edge above the competitors.”
The PCI DSS regulations required The Body Shop to have a working solution in place within the Americas region by the 31st March 2008 – a non negotiable deadline which was met by LogLogic. The Body Shop will now turn its focus to making the UK, EMEA and Asia Pacific markets compliant before the 2008 deadline for these regions.
CEO for LogLogic, Pat Sueltz adds: “PCI DSS compliance regulations present retailers with a number of business and technical challenges. I’m absolutely delighted that The Body Shop recognised the strength and technical capabilities of the LogLogic solutions and team to deliver exactly what they needed, on time and to specification.”
