LogLogic Launches Industry’s First Security Information and Event Management Solution Fully Integrated with the Leading Log Management Platform

SAN JOSE, Calif. — February 17, 2009 — LogLogic®, the log management leader, today announced the availability of LogLogic Security Event Manager, powered by Exaprotect. The new product is available to LogLogic end-users, resellers, outsourcers and hosting providers. Since signing a partnership agreement last year, LogLogic and Exaprotect have worked together to integrate Exaprotect EventManager and LogLogic’s leading open log management platform.

“Especially in a time when customers must do more with less, the combined LogLogic and Exaprotect product capabilities deliver optimal value,” said Jean-François Dechant, CEO, Exaprotect. “This partnership will allow Exaprotect and LogLogic to provide the best solutions for customers to protect information assets and meet stringent compliance regulations more effectively and at a lower cost than with two point solutions.”

LogLogic’s log management platform brings log data collection and archival, compliance reporting and forensic data analysis to 714 customers around the world. When combined with Exaprotect EventManager, customers will be able to use log data they already collect and store for advanced correlation, threat detection, alert prioritization and security incident management.

"Enterprise log management is a component critical to meeting the increasing demands of regulatory compliance," said Nick Selby, Vice President and Research Director, at industry analyst firm The 451 Group. "There is a clear trend of convergence amongst log management and enterprise security information management and security event monitoring products. We believe the integration of LogLogic's log management products and Exaprotect's security information and event management products will form the basis of a powerful product offering."

Key features of LogLogic Security Event Manager, powered by Exaprotect include:

  • Advanced event correlation and analysis
  • Natural language policy
  • Patented event taxonomy
  • Built-in incident workflow and service-level agreement (SLA) management
