LogLogic slashes the price of its Security Event Management appliances

SAN JOSE, Calif. — May 17, 2010 — LogLogic®, the leader in Log Management and Security Event Management (SEM) announced that it is slashing the price of its SEM products. Today the company cut its prices by more than 50% in order to make SEM technology more accessible to companies of all size and budget. These prices are up to 73% lower than its nearest competitor’s list price.

Many vendors, in what analyst firm Gartner calls the Security Information and Event Management market, have been loading SEM offerings with features that are esoteric at best and a security distraction at worst.

The LogLogic Security Event Manager is unique in that it is the only SEM in the marketplace that shares log collecting technology with a related Log Management solution. This unique capability allows the SEM to be deployed in days rather than months, using an auto-indentifying engine to recognize log sources without wasting valuable IT time.
