Director / Vice-President of Corporate Development

Define and execute on the overall corporate development strategy for LogLogic, including inbound and outbound partnerships, resale agreements and acquisitions. Overall strategic alignment with key partners in the systems management, networking and security markets. Make existing partnerships in these areas productive and execute on OEM relationships with existing and new partners.

Reports to: EVP Marketing, Products & Strategy
Location: This position will be based at the company's headquarters, located in San Jose. Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute on a strategy for inbound licensing and M&A deals.
  • Develop the overall business development strategy.
  • Continuously developing new lines of business and new channels.
  • Pursue and close resale and OEM relationships.
  • Develop a formal partnership program for ISV partners.
  • Develop an online marketplace of after-market applications.
  • Manage technology roadmap with existing partners.

The ideal candidate has either of the following backgrounds:

  • Corporate and business development experience for a technology company.
  • Investment banking or venture capital experience in the technology industry.
  • Management consulting in a related space, preferably enterprise software.

The position is highly visible within the organization and you will be part of the LogLogic senior leadership team. We are looking for an ambitious candidate who can grow with the organization, wear multiple hats and take on increasing responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • College degree required, MBA highly preferred.
  • At least ten years of overall experience, of which 5+ years of experience in business development, corporate development, investment banking or venture capital.
  • Experience with enterprise appliances, security or systems management software a plus.
  • Startup experience a plus.
  • Working technical knowledge of a wide range of computer and information systems, software applications, networking technologies, security and storage technologies.
  • Ability to think strategically as well as willingness to roll-up-the sleeves and do whatever it takes to meet individual and company goals.
