The Position:
The Systems Engineer (SE) partners with the field sales team to develop an enterprise account base and robust partners. Through a combination of deep network security expertise and extensive field experience, an SE will manage all technical activities during the sales cycle. An SE must possess the ability to convince technical decision makers of the merits of Loglogic's solution versus competitive alternatives.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver presentations to customers and partners on Loglogic's technology and product offerings.
- Assess customer requirements and infrastructure and design appropriate LogLogic configurations.
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations of the LogLogic Log Management solution.
- Facilitate and manage customer evaluations of the LogLogic appliances.
- Develop tight relationships with customer technical personnel which result in incremental opportunities for LogLogic products.
- Provide customer and market input to Product Management, Engineering, Customer Service, and other pertinent groups within LogLogic.
- Develop Knowledgebase articles, white papers, technical briefs, case studies and other tools to be leveraged by Loglogic's Sales organization.
- Necessary training of partner, OEMs, and end-users on the LogLogic solution and functionality.
- Stay current on major competitive maneuvers and industry developments; be capable of handling customer inquiries on these matters.
Requirements:
- Syslog analysis, Network security experience
- MySQL, UNIX/Linux experience
- Prior sales experience needed
- Fifth year college or university program certificate
- Or two to four years' related experience and/or training
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
