Senior Software Developer

This position in LogLogic's LogLabs group is responsible for improving the performance, robustness of log-parsers. You will collaborate with the Engineering Platform and Systems teams to improve data-warehouse ETL processes. You will be working with analysts, architects, developers, quality engineers and product managers to create the next generation of LogLogic products, and learn from the experts in log and systems management.

Location: This position will be based at the company's headquarters, located in San Jose.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop log parsers based on compiler-compilers such as ANTLR LL(*).
  • Reverse engineer software applications discovering log messages.
  • Implement log collectors using syslog/http/jdbc/ssl.
  • Implement end-point agents similar to Windows Snare/Lasso, syslog-ng.
  • Collaborate with tools-based workflow developer to code generation tools targeting java, jsp, C, and custom languages.

Requirements:

  • B.S. Computer Science (or related field), M.S. preferred.
  • 5+ years of software development in Unix/Linux and Windows environment.
  • Implement data processing applications using C, Java and Perl on Linux.
  • Collaborated with architects and designers to deliver prototypes quickly.
  • CVS/Perforce
  • Good interpersonal and written communication.
